Outreach Volunteers:

Outreach volunteers are the backbone of Angels in Motion’s (AIM) mission to connect with and support individuals in the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) community. These compassionate individuals are on the frontlines, bringing essential resources, encouragement, and dignity to those in need. Their efforts directly impact lives by fostering connection and hope where it’s needed most.

What Outreach Volunteers Do:

  1. Distribute Blessing Bags:
Volunteers hand out carefully prepared blessing bags filled with essential items such as food, hygiene products, socks, and notes of encouragement. These small yet impactful gifts meet immediate needs while showing care and respect.

  2. Build Relationships:
Outreach is more than providing material support—it’s about building trust. Volunteers listen, offer kind words, and create meaningful interactions to remind individuals they are not alone.

  3. Provide Resource Information:
Volunteers serve as a bridge to vital services by sharing information about recovery programs, shelters, medical care, and other community resources tailored to individual needs.

  4. Advocate for Compassion:
By engaging with the community, outreach volunteers serve as advocates, breaking down stigma and creating a culture of empathy for those impacted by addiction.

Who Can Be an Outreach Volunteer?

Anyone with a heart for service and a desire to make a difference! Volunteers should be compassionate, nonjudgmental, and open to meeting people where they are. Training is provided to ensure all volunteers feel confident and prepared for their role.

Benefits of Being an Outreach Volunteer:

  • Make a direct and positive impact on the lives of individuals in need.

  • Be part of a supportive and purpose-driven team.

  • Gain valuable experience in advocacy, human services, and community outreach.

  • Witness the transformative power of hope, one connection at a time.

By joining AIM as an outreach volunteer, you become a vital part of our mission to inspire change and support recovery. Together, we can help individuals take the first steps toward brighter tomorrows.
